An easy way to look after any leather sweat-banded hat, it enables you maintain the size of your hat or to stretch shrunken hats up to 1 or 2 hat sizes if required.
Made of soft balsa wood to absorb moisture and wick away odors and sweat, this ingenious gadget is essential to protect you investment, prolonging the life of your hat.

| HOW TO USE: |

TO PREVENT SHRINKAGE; after wear slip our hat stretcher into the crown, making contact only with the leather sweatband only (this is the part which hold the size of a hat). Gently twist to a firm, but not forceful pressure. |

TO RESTORE SIZE: Apply steam all around the sweatband (or wear your hat to get some heat and sweat into the leather) slip our hat stretcher into the crown, making contact witht he leather sweatband only, and twist to a firm pressure ( you'll know you're in the right zone when you hear the leather creaking.) Leave for 1 - 2 days. Repeat process as required. |
Note;
Re-sizing will only be successfull if leather is still soft, and supple. Attempting to stretch dried-out or hardened leather will result in breakage or snapping of the sweatband.
Re-sizing will only be sucessful on hats that have shrunk. Attempting to stretch a new hat thats is too small will not provide permament results.
Find Your Size
Follow the below steps to discover the best fit for you:
1. Hold the end of flexible tape-measure (the end showing 0cm) to the centre of your forehead, approximately 2cm above your brow line.
2. Wrap the tape backwards around your head, making sure that it is wound straight and level and sits about 1cm above the ear.
There is a bump on the back of the head. Ensure that the tape sits on this bump for the most accurate measurement
3. Bring tape back to your forehead (maintaining 1cm height above the opposite ear) and taking note of cm measurement where the tapes meet.
Use this centimetre measurement to determine correct size according to sizing charts.
Note:
- It is recommended that half-cm measurements step up to the next whole size i.e. 59.5cm would choose a size 60cm
- Hat makers often follow different sizing metrics, so please refer to individual brand sizing charts for accurate conversion.
